Joseph Easley, an aged and respected resident of New Market, died at his home there at 7:30 this morning. Death was due to an attack of lagrippe and heart trouble. Mr. Easleyt was a native of Kentucky and was 84 years of age last September. He was twice married, the second wife and six children survive him. The children include Daniel and Benjamin Easley, both of this city; Tilman Easley of Indianapolis; Mrs. Mary Miles and Mrs. Lucinda Frances Rice, both of Brown Township and Mrs. Sarah E. Rice, of Union Township. Mr. Easley was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. While the time for the funeral services had not been definitely arranged this morning, it is probable that they will occur Sunday.

The funeral of Ben (sic) Easley will be held at his late residence in New Market Sunday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. Oliphant of this city. Burial at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery - kbz
